Location and Directions
International Festival Location:
The UNC Charlotte International Festival is held on the UNC Charlotte main campus at 9201 University City Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28223. The Festival takes place primarily in and around the 232,000 square-foot James H. Barnhardt Student Activity Center (often referred to as the “SAC”).
You may wish to review or print out some maps of the UNC Charlotte Campus if it is your first time visiting the university. Or use our interactive map to help navigate to and around our campus.
Security Announcement:
For the safety of all guests, vendors, and artists who will be attending the International Festival, additional security measures will be in place. To expedite entry into the International Festival grounds, we advise all guests to leave large bags at home. All guests should allow themselves extra time for security screening measures.
Directions:
Depending on where you are driving from, general directions are available via the UNC Charlotte Admissions website.
For ease of parking, visitors are recommended to access campus using the Cameron Blvd. entrance, just off of University City Blvd, Interstate 49. Follow the signs along Cameron Road. Various parking decks are open for the public.
Another option is to enter off of University City Blvd. onto Broadrick Blvd to University Rd.
Parking:
The parking decks adjacent to the Student Activities Center (West Deck & Cone Deck), as well as the Union Deck, will all be open and free to all International Festival attendees. (See maps for locations).

Bus/Oversized Vehicle Parking: If you are bringing a bus/large vehicle, then parking surface lot parking is available in Lot #27. If dropping off attendees prior to parking, then the best place to unload is off of Craver Road near the Student Union.
Accessibility: In accordance with UNC Charlotte’s Service Animal Policy 704, service animals that provide support for individuals with disabilities while on campus are welcome. Animals brought to campus must be vaccinated and properly registered. Disability parking for the Student Activity Center is located in the SAC Handi Lot and West Deck. Although there is accessible parking in each deck, they are not always accessible pathways to the SAC
Light Rail: All attendees are encouraged to take the Lynx Blue Line light rail to the UNC Charlotte Main Station to attend the International Festival! Station and schedule information is available on the Lynx website: https://www.charlottenc.gov/CATS/Rail/Rail-Routes-and-Schedules
